How to Create New Products with Blow Molding

Blow molded parts are manufactured by a process adapted from glass blowing systems using a hollow tube of resin extruded through a die and then molded between two forms. High pressure air is then forced inside the mold form, shaping the resin as desired. This results in the economical manufacture of such items as household cleaner bottles, detergent and bleach bottles, as well as jugs for juice, milk and water.

Custom Blow Molding Products

With this highly adaptable process, mold sizes can range from that of large water storage cisterns capable of holding thousands of gallons of water to the tiniest dropper bottles holding a fraction of an ounce.

Blow molded specialties are engineered and designed to create new and unique products. Any idea can be designed and conceptualized even if the manufacturer is unsure of what exactly they want.

Stages of the Engineering Process

An unclear design scheme poses no problem, since our design teams can help develop a product from inception to the final reality, assisting the client each and every step of the way. Some of the stages of this engineering process include:

  • Reviewing the concept and its work-ability
  • Creating new product concepts
  • Modification of rotational molding manufacture into extrusion blow molding
  • Maximizing tool and part design
  • Full process development

With the ability to customize the manufacturing process to client specific needs, blow molded specialties offers the flexibility necessary to meet today’s manufacturing requirements. A complete solution with the option for custom part development, blow molded engineering and design teams can make any manufacturing plan a reality.
